All users have lab access during staffed hours (Monday – Thursday, 8am – 9pm; Friday 8am – 7pm). To become qualified for after-hours and weekend access, users need two things:
- Wet chemical training — Information can be found under the Qualified-WetChem-Training Tool, or on the nanousers website. This needs to be finished before you sign up for an interview.
- Qualification interview — During the interview, a small group of safety team members ask you relevant safety questions that allow you to demonstrate your understanding of how to respond in emergency situations. This interview is informal and typically takes 10-15 minutes. There are 4 time slots every week on Monday. You can sign up on the NEMO Calendar under the Qualified-24h-Access tool. Note that the people before your time slot may take a bit longer, so please ensure you have some flexibility in your schedule.
