Titan Krios G3i Cryo-TEM

Titan Krios is a state-of-the-art (300kV) cryogenic transmission electron microscope that enables high-resolution structure visualization via single-particle electron microscopy as well as electron tomography.

Krios is dedicated primarily for imaging specimens that have either potential for yielding high-resolution reconstructions (e.g., preliminary reconstruction showing visible secondary structure) and for specimens that can only be imaged on the Krios (e.g. thickness requiring 300 kV and energy filtering).

  • 300 kV X-FEG
  • Autoloader - up to 12 grids can be loaded simultaneously under cryogenic conditions
  • K3 Gatan Direct Detector
  • BioQuantum Gatan Image Filter
  • Ceta 16M Camera
  • Falcon 3EC Detector
  • Parallel Illumination
  • Phase Plate
  • Dual axis tilt holder (+/- 70 degrees)
  • Automated data collection
  • High-Resolution Imaging of vitrified biological or beam sensitive materials
  • Cryo-Electron Tomography
