Generate digital twins or virtual versions of physical objects

Digital twins are models of a system, increasingly used across fields from real estate to manufacturing. The Immersion Lab has tools for creating 3D models of physical objects, individual people, and rooms and environments. These models include photorealistic textures and volume point clouds, and can be used as inputs for creating avatars, animations, and VR content.

Digital Twins: The Vision. And Demystified

MIT.nano Associate Director Brian Anthony discusses digital twins in a 2020 webinar. Anthony explains how a full framework of digital twins assist in simulating and integrating sensor data for data analytics. Digital twins enable greater throughput, early identification of bottleneck processes, supply chain issues and identification of novel process and production level opportunities.
